Hi there! My name is Jemeia Kollie and I am passionate about Jesus, social justice, health and wellness, self-care, and self-love. I began blogging because I am a firm believer that the Gospel can speak to any situation we face in life, from social justice issues in the world to things that we may be battling in our personal walk with the Lord.
As a new member of the Transparency Blog team, my heart is to be vulnerable with you and to share the things that I am battling in hopes of assuring you that you are not alone. I use blogs as a way of finding answers to the questions that I have and as a way of meditating on scripture. I hope that you will join me as I ask questions and seek answers from God and the Bible.

“Jesus is Bae” Series:
Have you found “the one” or are you waiting for him to make his appearance? Either way, think about this series as the corner for all things relationships. Any woman regardless of single, taken, or married should make Jesus their first love. Because no matter our earthly marital status, we are ALL in a relationship with Christ.
So what would life be like if Jesus were bae? If we communicated with Him daily, shared and processed all of the deep secrets in our hearts with Him, and went on dates with Him? What kind of joy and security would we experience? What would we learn about Him and ourselves? I don’t know but we’ll definitely dive into this deep end together.
So please, join me on this journey of seeing Jesus as Bae (our first love).
“To the Single Woman” Series:
Calling all single women because this series is just for you! But the best part, these lessons can apply to anyone. The purpose for this series is for single women to get a holistic perspective on Christ-centered marriages and relationships and learn from individuals who are finding purpose in their singleness.
This series will feature interviews from the following groups:
- Couples that have been married for a long time
- Engaged couples
- Those in intentional and Christ-centered relationships
- Single boss women and men
I am especially excited to hear from men who love Jesus because I believe that their unique perspectives on intention, pursuit, self-worth, and how they think about and approach relationships, are important for women to have. At least once or twice a month, either a two-part couple interview (one with the female and the other with the male) OR an interview with a single individual will go live on the blog. GET EXCITED BECAUSE I AM EXCITED, OKAY!
